The 16th edition of Classic Motorshow attracted 20,284 visitors to the Lahti Fair Centre over the weekend.
This year’s theme, the vibrant and nostalgic 1980s, was brought to life across many stands—both in dedicated theme areas and throughout the exhibition. A wide variety of vehicle hobbies were on display, showcasing the diversity of the classic car community.
On the main stage, visitors enjoyed lively discussions on current topics in the vehicle enthusiast world, as well as stories from the 1980s and motorsport history.
A pink classic takes the crown
The Owners’ Gem of 2025 was chosen from ten finalists. Visitors voted the winner to be Julia Lila’s elegant 1961 Dodge Dart Seneca from Helsinki.
A moped club wins best club stand
The award for best club stand—and a €2,000 grant—went to Happy Pappa Tunturi Drivers ry from Luumäki, whose hilarious 80s-style camping setup charmed with its vehicles, decorations, and enthusiastic crew.
Show organiser Risto Laine expressed his satisfaction:
“We were pleased with the turnout, but even more important was the great feedback we received from both exhibitors and visitors. It’s a great foundation for planning next year’s show.”
Next year’s Classic Motorshow will be held on May 2–3, 2026, with the theme ‘From the Frying Pan into the Fire’.
